The third week's focus will gear towards advertising production, media, digital marketing, social and technology. First, the focus will be on learning about the importance of production during the campaign development process, techniques, and resources. Next, we will look at media planning and buying and the media landscape in Puerto Rico. Finally, we will talk about the impact of social media on the business, formats, and innovations from development, technology, and user experience.
The second week will focus on customer service, account management, business intelligence, and strategic and creative planning. The goal during this period is for participants to learn more about client processes, the art of selling, and understanding the brand's core business. We will be focusing on how to discover insights, inspire strategies, and what are the best tools to identify trends. Finally, we will look at generating ideas and how to think for each media and digital touch-point. We will be taking a look at the best local and global ideas and analyzing why they are successful.
One of the most important things that designers can do is to create and maintain design systems. Design systems provide a shared set of standards and patterns that can be used by all members of a team. They help to ensure that everyone is on the same page, and they can save a lot of time and frustration in the long run.
As a final project, participants will prepare a presentation for clients. During the week, there will be several brainstorming sessions, and students will develop a plan to present to the client. The final assignment will include: Rationale of the Idea, Executions, Media Strategy and Budget). Agency teams will lead each group to support them in the process. At the end of that week, there will be a 40-minute presentation by each group.
Participants will start to prepare for their final project, understanding the process and rules for the client presentation. They will learn about the steps taken during a new business process and receive a brief from the clients.
